Belted U Shaped Seating – Lightweight Furniture Board

The long-awaited JS “U shape” layout has arrived

Here at JS Concepts, we have been working on our stylish yet practical seat belted “U Shape” design for some time now and are proud to be in the position to offer it to the market.

Over the past couple of years whilst undertaking customers campervan builds and listening to their needs, we have noticed that times are changing and people are looking more to the unique layout that a U shape seating area can offer.

Boasting a large amount of storage under each section of seating and ample kitchen storage this alternative layout is offering an increased living and dining area within the restricted space of your van.

Not only does the JS U Shape give you a much larger sleeping area then the conventional Rock & Roll bed it also allows you to have the safety of traveling two passengers in the rear of the vehicle.

Traveling seat

The JS Concepts Belted U Shape design utilises our M1 tested seat and bed frame combination. This is fitted and secured in place via our specially designed steel mounting bracket, this bolts directly though floor picking up on the extra strength of the vans chassis rails.

Seating area

The seating area consists of two seating pods on each side of the van with accessible storage underneath. To the rear of the van is the third seating area which is also the M1 certificated traveling seat for the vehicle again has ample under seat storage. All seating has 100mm fully upholstered foam for a comfy relaxing feel.

Bed area

The furniture has been designed to utilise the full width of the van when it is made up into the sleeping area, this is easily done by pulling forward the bed slats towards the front of the van, positioning the table into its given location and placing the two sides upholstered back cushions into place, as easy as that!!!

Sleeping area dimensions (at the widest point)

1600mm wide x 1800mm with the rear seat cushion removed or 1700mm without.

Kitchen

The kitchen pod has been designed in such a way to give maximum storage whilst still housing a Waeco crx50 (or equivalent) fridge. Both the full depth drawer and cupboard doors are all soft close so still offer that home from home feel. We also offer to cut out the worktop to fit your MO9722 RH sink unit straight in.

Cushions

The cushions we offer with all of our kits are 100mm V38 foam fully upholstered in house to the colour of your choice. These are all cut to size to match each kit and will give you a great nights sleep.

Porta Potti

All of our Short wheelbase U shape furniture kits are designed in such a way to discretely house the compact Thetford Porta Potti 335. Access is gained to this via the cupboard door located on the side of the bed pod, this are can also be used for great shoe storage if the Porta Potti is not required.

Construction

All of our furniture is manufactured and built-in house using our CNC machine from high grade lightweight veneered plywood.

All kits are fully built and tested within our work shop before we expertly fit them into your vehicle. All you need do is arrive on your given installation date with your van carpet lined and floored ready to receive your furniture of choice. “Truly a drive in and drive out service”.
