The JS Unbelted “U shape” layout has arrived
Here at JS we are pleased to offer to the market our newly designed unbelted “U” shape campervan interior.
Over the past couple of years whilst undertaking customers campervan builds and listening to their needs, we have noticed that times are changing and people are looking more to the unique layout that a U shape seating area can offer.
Boasting a large amount of storage under each section of seating and ample kitchen storage this alternative layout is offering an increased living and dining area within the maximising space available in your van.
Not only does the JS U Shape give you a much larger sleeping area then the conventional Rock & Roll bed but this new unbelted version offers seating for up to 5 adults along with the maximum under seat storage possible from a campervan interior.
Seating area
Manufactured to precisely fit your vehicle, the full kit comprises of three seating pods and one kitchen pod. Each of the three seating pods are individually constructed allowing ease of installation, the two side pods simply locate into the fully scribed third rear pod and fasten snugly together.
The two side seating pods have soft closing front access doors allowing maximum storage space underneath the benches. The longer passenger seating pod also boasts a second soft closing door to the outside of the vehicle, ideally this can be used to house the all important Porta Potti.
The third rear seating pod has been carefully designed and machined to accurately fit within the carpet lined rear aperture of the vehicle. This when fitted with our narrow depth full width thresholds allows the full seating design to be pushed further back into the vehicle creating even more crucial space up front.
Bed area
The furniture has been designed to utilise the full width of the van when it is made up into the sleeping area, this is easily done by pulling forward the bed slats towards the front of the van, positioning the table into its given location and placing the two sides upholstered back cushions into place, as easy as that!!!
Sleeping area dimensions (at the widest point)
1600mm wide x 1800mm with the rear seat cushion removed or 1700mm without.
Kitchen
The kitchen pod is an integral part to our “U-shaped “ design providing functionality as well as good looks. The worktop can be machined to house an electric ignition 9722 sink combination unit and the cupboard door can be removed to allow the snug installation of a Waeco crx50 fridge within the capped aluminium side profiles. (Equivalent 50L sized fridges will also fit)
Cushions
The cushions we offer with all of our kits are 100mm V38 foam fully upholstered in house to the colour of your choice. These are all cut to size to match each kit and will give you a great night’s sleep.
Porta Potti
All of our Short wheelbase U shape furniture kits are designed in such a way to discretely house the compact Thetford Porta Potti 335. Access is gained to this via the cupboard door located on the side of the bed pod, this are can also be used for great shoe storage if the Porta Potti is not required.
Construction
All of our furniture is manufactured and built-in house using our CNC machine from high grade 15mm Baltic Birch plywood.
All kits are fully built and tested within our work shop before we expertly fit them into your vehicle. All you need do is arrive on your given installation date with your van carpet lined and floored ready to receive your furniture of choice. “Truly a drive in and drive out service”.
